Where is Authgear based?
In the UK. Authgear is built and owned by a UK company.
Where is my data stored on Authgear Cloud?
In the United States or Hong Kong. You choose the region when you create a project. We don't offer an EU region yet, so join the waitlist if you need one.
Can I keep all user data inside the EU today?
Yes, in two ways. Self-host Authgear on any EU provider or your own hardware, or choose private cloud and we run a dedicated deployment for you in an EU region. Either way, your user data stays inside the EU.
Do you sign a Data Processing Agreement?
Yes. Read our DPA and the list of sub-processors.
Is the self-hosted version missing features?
No. The self-hosted version has the same features as Authgear Cloud.
What does self-hosting cost?
The software is free under Apache-2.0. You pay for your own infrastructure, and for support if you want it. Talk to us for a quote.
